Leaping Leon wins Euston International Triathlon
World duathlon champion Leon Griffin proved to the Euston faithful that victories are always sweet.

In the men's field the competition was always going to be between two great athletes, and the world under 23 champion Brendan Sexton pushed Griffin to the absolute limits during the grand prix format.

In the women's field olympian Erin Densham on a comeback from injury threw out the challenge to the other female competitors from the start, with a commanding from-the-front performance.

Griffin was generous in his praise for the venue and event. "'This event truly rates on the international stage, the organisers, the facilities are world class", said Griffin. "We race in Melbourne for considerably less financially and we appreciate coming here to support the Euston Club."

"Densham, Sexton and I all agree that something special is going to happen to the Euston race and it will get better and better. I will be back — it started here for me in 2006 and I have enjoyed every race since."

Coomealla age group winners proved just as strong as the visitors with local Mark Wilgar sharing the honors with south Aussie Kimberley Johnson.

Huge thanks to the set up crew & for everyone that helped with the record pack up.
